People of Somerset are being asked to avoid travelling in Somerset after heavy rain led to flooding

People of Somerset have advised against non-essential travel with many roads closed.

Devon and Somerset Rescue and Fire Service said it had received lots of calls and to only contact them if there was a risk to life

Buses of Somerset said 28 services Taunton to Mine head bus had been cancelled for the rest of Sunday because of flooding

There were road closures in Townsend Road, Ponsford Road, The Avenue, Alcombe Road, Park Street ,  and more

West Somerset Police have told residents of the western region to avoid making unnecessary trips outside 

The crews and control staff are working hard responding to 999 calls for flooding
